chlorinated sucrose

I just don't like Splenda/sucralose.

I just put a bag of that crap in my tea, and a couple of minutes later I can still taste the sweetness from it.

There are two things I can't stand about it:

1) it has some mouth-feel difference from real sugar that bugs me -- real sugar has a slightly syrupy feel even in single-teaspoon-per-cup concentrations, and Splenda either doesn't or is present in such small quantities that it's not detectable.. Or maybe the amount of sweetness from 1 tsp of sucralose is keyed in my mind to huge quantities of sugar, which I don't like, and to expectations of corresponding syrupy texture.

2) it lingers a whole heck of a lot longer on the tongue than sucrose.
